Boulder police today released a sketch of a man who stole a woman’s cell phone on a downtown street, then followed and groped her as she walked away.
She was walking alone when the assault and robbery happened at about 12:30 a.m. on Dec. 2 near North Broadway and Pine streets, police said.
The man was described as white, in his early 20s with hoop earrings in both ears.
He was wearing dark cloths and had “strong body odor,” the woman told investigators.
Police urge people to travel on foot in groups after dark, remain in well-lit areas, avoid alleys and call police if they are concerned about suspicious circumstances.
There is a $1,000 reward.
