FORT COLLINS, Colo.—Sheriff’s officials say four high-security inmates accused of throwing fecal matter in the Larimer County jail, using sinks and toilets to flood their cells and then barricading themselves in the cells have been charged with felonies.

The disturbance Nov. 20 resulted in a lockdown of the facility.

Sheriff’s officials say 19-year-old Dylan Jade Garbino, 23-year-old Bryant Vidal Palacios, 23-year-old Shawn Cole Camu and 26-year-old Christopher Nathaniel Green each are charged with rioting in a jail, conspiracy to riot in a jail, a hazardous waste violation and six counts of second-degree assault. The assault charges stem from allegations the inmates threw fecal matter at officers.

Rioting in a detention facility is punishable by two to 10 years in prison, served after any other sentence, if convicted.
