GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.—Grand Junction City Manager Laurie Kadrich is leaving her post after the City Council asked her to step down.
The Daily Sentinel reports ( ) Kadrich will receive a year’s worth of salary and benefits for her resignation. Her salary is $153,338 this year.
Kadrich said in a written statement Thursday that there are some “fundamental philosophical differences” between her and the City Council.
Mayor Tom Kenyon told The Daily Sentinel that Kadrich had a different management style than some current Council members wanted. Kenyon says some members wanted to be more involved in day-to-day operations and information.
Kadrich has been city manager since July 2007. Before that, she served as the city manager in Cody, Wyo., and as an assistant city manager in Gillette, Wyo.
