DENVER—Denver police say another arrest warrant for a high school coach accused of sex assault on a child by a person in a position of trust has been issued, based on new information.
Thirty-four-year-old Oscar Alejandro Ponce had been released on bond after he was arrested Tuesday for investigation into the charge. Police said Thursday they haven’t been able to find him to arrest him on the second warrant.
Ponce is a cross-country coach at Abraham Lincoln High School, where he is on administrative leave.
Investigators haven’t released details of allegations against Ponce.
A phone message left at a number listed for Ponce wasn’t immediately returned Thursday.
