Attorneys for former Arapahoe County Sheriff Patrick Sullivan have hired a private investigator, and Sullivan has expressed an interest in counseling, according to paperwork obtained by 9News.
The documents and forms were filled out by Sullivan when he was admitted through pretrial services, the agency that supervises defendants who are out on bond.
In one questionnaire, Sullivan circled “yes” when asked whether he would be interested in counseling. He didn’t specify what type of counseling.
The documents also show a pretrial services officer noted Sullivan’s point of contact during the first few days of his release was a private investigator hired by his attorney.
Sullivan was arrested Nov. 29, accused of attempting to trade methamphetamine for sex with men. He was being held in a jail that was named after him but is out on bond.
Sullivan bonded out after his bail was reduced from $500,000 to $50,000. He will appear in court again in January.
