Denver police today named a suspect in the death of 43-year-old Elia Anastacio, who was found dead from multiple stab wounds to her neck in her Denver apartment last Friday.
Crisanto Tirso-Jiminez, 35, is wanted on a warrant alleging first-degree murder in the slaying that took place in the apartment at 1625 Clarkson St. The charge indicates premeditation, but police did not elaborate on the relationship between the two.
“Detectives have obtained information that the suspect fled to Mexico,” they said in a statement urging people with information about Tirso-Jiminez to come forward.
There is a $2,000 reward.
Though a Denver resident for at least five years, records show Anastacio is originally from Emiliano Zapato, Mexico, about 100 miles northeast of Mexico City.
