PUEBLO, Colo.—A Pueblo man is in custody after a standoff at his home and the attempted shooting of a businessman in his office.
Police say 41-year-old Michael Todd Singleton tried to shoot real estate developer Louie Carleo in Carleo’s office on Tuesday. The Pubelo Chieftain reports that Carleo was uninjured ().
Singleton was arrested late Wednesday after a standoff at his home. Police fired three rounds of gas into the home and arrested Singleton on suspicion of attempted homicide.
Carleo told police that Singleton had sent him threatening letters but that he wasn’t sure why Singleton would be mad at him.
