AURORA, Colo.—Police in Aurora are looking for two dogs who attacked two women, sending both to the hospital.
Police described a chaotic scene that all started when two dogs, believed to be pit bulls, attacked a small dog out for a morning walk. The woman walking the dog was bit by the large dogs while trying to protect her pet. Police say another woman came to her neighbor’s aid and threw a blanket on top of the dogs to distract them.
A passing driver offered the woman and the small dog refuge in his vehicle but the dogs ran after the woman who intervened. Another neighbor who tried yelling at the dogs to distract them had to jump on top of a car to escape them just before police arrived.
