GOLDEN, Colo.—A woman accused of stealing almost $12,000 from Pomona Youth Wrestling when she was the nonprofit club’s treasurer has been sentenced to 30 days in jail.

Thirty-one-year-old Angela Hattie Padia of Arvada also was sentenced this week to 30 months’ probation. She pleaded guilty in November to attempted theft. She has repaid the stolen money.

The Jefferson County district attorney’s office says Padia was treasurer of Pomona Youth Wrestling from the winter of 2007 through the end of February 2010. Other coaches and parents discovered the club’s bank account had been depleted after receiving notice of a large unpaid bill for new uniforms and equipment.
