DENVER—A 23-year-old man who admitted killing a Community College of Denver professor while he was driving drunk has been sentenced to 15 years in prison.
Jose Nevarez-Coronado received the maximum sentence on Thursday after he pleaded guilty to vehicular homicide while under the influence.
Professor Yvonne Frye was killed in 2010 as she headed home after grading papers.
According to the Denver Post (), Nevarez-Coronado told the judge her death was an accident.
