The crash occurred about 6 a.m. near East Second Avenue and Potomac Street, said a spokesman for the Aurora Police Department.

When officers arrived at the scene the man was found unconscious and transported to a local hospital . He’s expected to survive.

Police believe the man was driving northbound in the right lane on Potomac when his 1987 Chevy Camaro drifted right where it hit a packed snow and ice before going airborne and striking the pole.
