BOULDER, Colo.—Boulder police posing as the owners of a cell phone have arrested a man who demanded a $150 reward.

Police arrested 53-year-old Stephan Mitchell on suspicion of theft.

According to the Boulder Daily Camera ( ), the owner lost her phone Wednesday and got a new phone.

On Saturday, the woman’s mother notified police after she got a call from a man who said he had the phone and wanted money for it.

According to a police report, Mitchell told the officer he was bringing a gun to the meeting.
