DENVER—Denver is suspending furloughs for most motor vehicle branch employees because of complaints over wait times.
Mayor Michael Hancock says he will suspend the four remaining furlough days for most Division of Motor Vehicle workers to try to improve customer service at the city’s four branches
According to the Denver Post ( ), the average wait times at those branches increased to more than 50 minutes last year. In 2009, the average wait period was about 10 minutes.
