BOULDER  — Boulder police have arrested Sean Marino, 43, on suspicion of reckless driving, hit-and-run and driving under the influence in the series of crashes near Iris Avenue and 19th Street on Monday night that sent 10 people to the hospital.

Boulder police spokeswoman Kim Kobel said Marino admitted to officers that he was under the influence of a “narcotic medication” while driving his Ford F-150 pickup truck on 19th Street on Monday.

Marino reportedly told police he doesn’t remember hitting anyone, but he does remember the noise of the crash and his airbags deploying, Kobel said.

In total, nine cars were involved in the crash.
