DENVER—University of Colorado regents are meeting in Denver to discuss the budget and possible options for raising tuition again next year.
The regents are expected to try again Wednesday after a plan to raise tuition nearly 16 percent ran into opposition. A vote on any tuition increase is not expected until next month.
Last year, the regents raised Boulder campus tuition by more than 9 percent for in-state undergraduates and 3 percent for incoming non-residents.
University officials have said the raises are needed to keep good educators.
