A Romanian man vising friends for a ski holiday in Keystone died after being struck by a car as he crossed the street Saturday evening, the Summit County Coroner’s Office reported.
Mircea Vasaram, 33, was crossing at Highway 6 and Razor Drive around 6:47 p.m. when a 1999 Subaru Outback hit him heading westbound.
Vasaram was flown to St. Anthony’s Hospital, where he died of his injuries. He was visiting friends in Denver and had gone skiing for the day.
The coroner’s office provided no information about the driver of the Subaru. The Colorado State Patrol continues to investigate the incident.
