The Colorado State Patrol today named the 19-year-old Rifle woman who was killed in a fiery crash Sunday on Interstate 70 near DeBeque.
Christina Flager was killed at about 2:40 a.m. when the Chevrolet Impala in which she was a passenger veered into the median and hit a concrete structure, the state patrol said today.
The driver, 21 year-old Anthony Bracamontes of Rifle, faces numerous charges, including vehicular homicide, drunken driving and reckless driving. He was arrested Tuesday.
Bracamontes and passenger Erick Fernandez, 26, of Grand Junction were seriously injured in the crash.
“After the crash, several citizens assisted all the occupants out of the vehicle as the vehicle became engulfed in flames,” according to the state patrol.
