A 68-year-old woman was rushed to the hospital Wednesday after lifeguards at an Arvada YMCA pulled her from a pool and revived her.

Around 11:01 a.m., emergency crews were called to the Susan M. Duncan YMCA, located at 6350 Eldridge St., on a report of an unresponsive woman, according to a news release from the Arvada Fire Department.

Before emergency crews arrived, lifeguards revived the woman using a defibrillator.

When firefighters and paramedics arrived, the woman had a pulse and was breathing on her own. She was taken to Lutheran Medical Center in Wheat Ridge.
