 Most of Denver city and county offices will be closed Friday and Monday.

All offices will be closed Friday for the second of five furlough days for this year, according to a news release.

Most offices will also be closed Monday, March 26, in observance of Cesar Chavez Day.

The Denver Zoo will remain open as well as all agencies that operate 24 hours a day, such as police, the sheriff’s department and the fire department.

All four Denver County Motor Vehicle offices will remain open on Friday, but will be closed for the holiday on Monday. Parking meters will be free on Monday until 11:59 p.m.

Trash, recycling and compost will be picked up on Friday, but will not be picked up on Monday. Pick-up services will be delayed one day next week.

Other agencies that will be closed both Friday and Monday include:

• The Denver Public Library

• 3-1-1, Denver’s information line for non-emergency services

• Denver Animal Shelter

• Denver County Court

• Denver Elections Division

• Public Works’ permit counters and the Right of Way Enforcement

• The Wastewater Management Building

• All Denver Workforce Centers
