LOUISVILLE — The acquisition binge continues for Louisville’s Zayo Group LLC.

The privately held provider of fiber-based bandwidth networks that on Monday announced its intention to acquire AboveNet Inc. for $2.2 billion today followed that up with news it reached an agreement to buy Arialink, a Lansing, Mich.-based fiber-optic provider for $18 million.

As a result of the Arialink acquisition, Zayo will add 930 route miles to its 45,000-mile national network. Arialink has 400 miles of dense metro networks in Lansing and Ann Arbor, Mich., Zayo officials said.
