A man crossing the railroad tracks in north Denver was struck by a train that severed his legs tonight, 9News reported.
The man, who has not been named, was trying to cross at about 6:45 p.m. at 47th Avenue and York Street, which is two blocks north of Interstate 70 and the Nestle Purina Pet Care Co. plant.
No information has been relesed about the man’s condition.
Denver police tweeted at 8:35 p.m. that East 47th Avenue is closed between York and Claude Court while traffic detectives investigate.
