Tom Hanks — not Ryan Gosling — is going to play Walt Disney in a new film.

Oscar-winner Hanks will play the studio creator in “Saving Mr. Banks,” about his long struggle to make “Mary Poppins.”

Actress Emma Thompson will star as the Australian author P.L.Travers who wrote the book on which the musical Mary Poppins is based.

Disney apparently tried for 14 years to get Travers to allow him to make a film of her children’s story, according to .

Travers eventually agreed to the movie but was so upset when the film was released featuring animated sequences she never worked with Disney again, the Mail said.

Mary Poppins was one of Disney’s most popular films and starred Julie Andrews in her breakout role as the magical nanny.

Last month, the Internet was abuzz after a French graphic artist created a poster showing Ryan Gosling supposedly playing the starring role in a biopic about Walt Disney .

Pascal Witasek made a poster of a very Disney-looking Gosling in a movie with Ron Howard directing. But, according to the Hollywood Reporter, that was all just a joke.

Gosling, coincidentally, was a child star on the Mickey Mouse Club.

Khloe Kardashian said of husband Lamar Odom getting cut loose by the Dallas Mavericks: “It’s just a crazy year.”

TMZ asked her about Odom upon her arrival at LAX after the news broke Monday.

TMZ asked her if she thought he’d return to the Lakers, and she replied only, “You never know.”

Yes, Clint Eastwood is really going to be in a reality show; no, it won’t really center on the film icon.

Turns out the the show will focus on his wife Dina and their fifteen-year-old daughter Morgan and not so much the “Dirty Harry” star, 81.

Clint’s daughter from his relationship with Frances Fisher, Francesca, also appears on the show, according to E!

Part of the show will document Francesca’s life in Los Angeles, while Morgan struggles at home without her sister.

As well as giving a peek into family life at the Eastwood household the series will also serve to promote Dina’s passion — a six-man vocal group called Overtone that she manages.

The show — with the tagline ‘Some Hollywood families live for fame, this one lives to let live’ — will also include footage of college student Francesca’s boyfriend celebrity photographer Tyler Shields.

Dina told E!: ‘Nothing is more important to me than family — no matter how you define that.’

She added: ‘People might be surprised by how we live our lives and our unconventional approach.’

Two days after the famed “60 Minutes” reporter Mike Wallace died at age 93, his son, Fox anchor Chris Wallace released a statement:

“My dad was everything you saw on television: fascinating and funny, challenging and exasperating. He was the best reporter I have ever known. And while work often came first for him, over the last 20 years, he worked hard to make connections with his family. He became my best friend. And at the end, he was surrounded by children, grandchildren and even great-grandchildren. I already miss him terribly.”

Chris Wallace, host of Fox News Channel’s “Fox News Sunday,” was a baby when his parents divorced in 1948, and it wasn’t until he was a teenager, following the death of an older brother, that he began to get to know his dad.

Chris Wallace, 64, has been with Fox since 2003 after lengthy stints at NBC News and ABC News.
