A dozen Denver designers working in a “Titanic” theme to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the cruise ship will compete April 19 at the annualFrock Out showcase at the Central Denver Public Library. The youngest is 15-year-old Pearl Hanbei Long of Colorado Springs. The others are Cleo Ortiz, Crystal Sharp, Denise Chaudhari, Gabriela Martinez, Jacquelyn Bartels, James Silvrants, Julianne Hazelhurst, Katie Wells, Pearl Long, Rae Marie Hurst, Stephanie Ohnmacht and Vicky Krabill. The show, which will be held in the center hallway of the library’s main floor, will be arranged in seasons and will also include a “designer’s vision” category. On April 19, the VIP cocktail party is at 6:30 p.m. and the show is at 8:30 p.m. (doors open to the general public at 8 p.m.) Tickets are $20 for levels 2 and 3, standing room.
