LARKSPUR, Colo.—A 46-year-old Air Force pilot from Monument has died after he was hit by a car while he was bicycling on a state highway east of Larkspur.

Authorities say Lt. Col. Michael Joyal was riding on Colorado Highway 83 when he was hit Sunday by a Jeep traveling in the same direction.

According to the Colorado Springs Gazette ( ), Sjvorne Chapman of Peyton was arrested on suspicion of vehicular homicide, driving under the influence and reckless driving.
