The latest summer concert announcement is a big one: is on the road with as support.

And the band is kicking off the tour in Colorado – at , in fact.

MMJ will play Red Rocks with Band of Horses on Aug. 3-4, the band announced this morning. Trombone Shorty will open both shows, and $1 from each ticket will be donated to a local charity – Flobots.org on the 3rd and Platteforum on the 4th.

“We are delighted to be sharing the stage with pals in Band of Horses,” Jim James said in a release. “We danced a beautiful dance together at Madison Square Garden, and there is a lot of love between our camps. Itap gonna be a good old-tyme thrill ride.”

Added Bridwell in the release: “So psyched to hit the road with our buddies and (hopefully) warm you all up for the greatest band going.”

Tickets, $42.50-$49.50, will go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday via Ticketmaster.
