Authorities in Fort Morgan are hoping a $7,500 reward will lead to information that brings 17-year-old Kayla Chadwick home.
Anyone with information can call Crime Stoppers at 970-542-3411 or a Fort Morgan police at 970-867-5678.
She was reported missing on the night of March 27, and though police said she had recently been in an argument with her boyfriend, he was interviewed and is cooperating with the investigation.
The FBI and Morgan County Sheriff’s Department are assisting with the search.
A senior at Fort Morgan High School, Kayla was described as 5 feet, 5 inches tall, 135 pounds, brown eyes and red hair with black tips. She was last seen wearing blue jeans, a plaid shirt covering a black lace spaghetti strap shirt and black shoes.
Police said they followed up on tips from across the state, as well as Washington state.
“This has been a very frustrating case for the family, community and police,” Fort Morgan Police Chief Keith Kuretich said in a statement today. “In fact, the community has been very responsive and has been assisting in doing searches around Fort Morgan and Morgan County since Kayla’s disappearance.”
The reward includes $500 from Crime Stoppers and $7,000 from private donations.
