BOULDER, Colo.—The University of Colorado has selected an associate dean from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign to be the next dean of the College of Arts and Sciences in Boulder.
Steven Leigh will replace Todd Gleeson effective July 1. Gleeson is stepping down after roughly a decade and will teach in the integrative physiology department.
The Daily Camera reports () Leigh will earn $250,000 annually.
The other finalists included CU physics department chairman Paul Beale and CU’s associate vice chancellor for faculty affairs, Jeffrey Cox. CU also considered Antonio Cepeda-Benito, who is a vice provost at Texas A&M University.
