• The Boppy Co. and Nurse-Family Partnership, recently launched a Mother’s Day support program where visitors to Boppy’s website can help by clicking on a special “Give Your Support” icon. For every click received through May 14, The Boppy Co. will donate $1 toward a Boppy Pillow to a first-time mom who needs it most.
• University of the Rockies, specializing in social and behavioral sciences, will open its new online center Wednesday in the Tabor Center, 1201 16th St. The 80,000-square-foot center will add 100 new jobs to the Denver economy, including approximately 50 executives and employees transferred from out-of-state.
• Grand Hyatt Denver has been ranked #28 by Cvent, in the “Top 100 Meeting Hotels in the United States.”
• The Creative Alliance received a 2012 Gold Key Award from the Colorado Chapter of the Business Marketing Association for a rebranding campaign on behalf of its client, Birko of Henderson.
• Guaranteed Rate Inc., a mortgage provider, has opened an office in Edwards.
• Adolfson & Peterson Construction broke ground on the new Cherry Hills Village/South Metro Fire Rescue Joint Public Safety Facility for Cherry Hills Village. The 20,000-square foot facility is expected to be complete in January.
• Boom Yogurt Bar will open a new store in the Lowry Town Center, 200 Quebec St. on May 21. Boom will feature locally made yogurts, oatmeals, toppings and coffee.
• CH2M Hill announced that the firm won the Global Water Award for Water Company of the Year given by the International Desalination Association and Global Water Intelligence.
• Senku Marketing announced that it has been hired as the agency of record by Burkett Design, a Denver-based architecture firm with offices in Dubai and one opening soon in Saudi Arabia.
• The team from the University of Colorado Leeds School of Business, won the10th annual Rocky Mountain Real Estate Challenge. The team also received a $5,000 scholarship. The competition is sponsored by NAIOP, the Commercial Real Estate Development Association.
• The Outdoor Advertising Association of America presented Denver advertising agency Amélie Co. with a Gold OBIE Award, which recognizes creative agencies that produce outstanding out-of-home advertising campaigns.
• Pinnacle Real Estate Advisors announced the sale of the Madison Retail Center at 3425 E. 28th Ave. for $450,000.
• Colorado State University’s Legends of Ranching Performance Horse Sale recently was the most successful in the program’s seven years, generating more than $330,000 in sale proceeds. A total of 63 American Quarter Horses were auctioned at the B.W. Pickett Equine Center. The sale helps prepare equine science students for success in the horse industry.
