PUEBLO, Colo.—A man involved in a crash in southwestern Pueblo that killed three teenagers and injured two others has been charged.
The Pueblo Chieftain ( ) reports District Attorney Bill Thiebaut has filed 15 charges, included six counts of vehicular homicide, against 36-year-old Gilbert O. Sanchez stemming from the April 28 crash.
Prosecutors say Sanchez was intoxicated when he sped through a red light at a busy intersection and struck a car, killing three Alamosa teens. The victims were identified as 14-year-old Serina Sena, 14-year-old Selena Mascarenas and 18-year-old Anisa Montoya.
Two girls riding in the bed of Sanchez’s truck, 14-year-old Jade Dorrance and 13-year-old Jordyn Carrillo, were seriously injured.
Thiebaut declined to release Sanchez’s speed or blood-alcohol level at the time of the crash.
