COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—A request by Frontier Airlines for flights from Colorado Springs to Ronald Reagan National Airport in Washington, D.C., has been rejected by the U.S. Department of Transportation.
Frontier had planned to begin offering daily service in August to Reagan National. The airline was seeking two of eight slots at Reagan National made available under legislation signed into law this year by President Barack Obama.
According to the Colorado Springs Gazette (), the Denver-based carrier estimated the flights would attract 100,000 passengers annually
