Mumford has been quiet around these here parts since last summer, when it sold out two nights at the Fillmore Auditorium before heading down to the Telluride Bluegrass Festival for a raucous main stage show and a sweaty, playing-in-the-crowd late-night show that were festival highlights for many. Mumford will play Jazz Aspen on Sept. 1 with Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue.

Franti & Spearhead have been really active in Colorado the last few years, and they also have a June 8 date coming up at Red Rocks. Franti will play Sept. 2 with Kid Rock and Vintage Trouble.

The bill for Aug. 31, the Friday of the weekend: Sugarland and the Steve Miller Band.

Now comes the question from Mumford fans: Will the band play other Colorado dates around the Jazz Aspen show? Perhaps a Red Rocks date (or two) before or after?

Tickets are on sale now for Jazz Aspen, $175 for three-day passes. Single-day passes will go on sale on Friday for $82.50 apiece. (Note: That means Mumford Saturday, Sept. 1, will likely be sold out very soon, so plan accordingly.)
