WESTMINSTER, Colo.—Three people have been rescued after their boat capsized in high winds at a suburban Denver Lake.

Westminster police spokeswoman Diana Allen says two adults and a child were taken to a hospital as a precaution after capsizing at Standley Lake in the west Denver suburb of Westminster Monday morning. She says none appeared to have life-threatening injuries.

All three were wearing life vests and were holding on to the boat about 60 feet from shore when firefighters responded to a 911 call.

Allen did not know the cause of the incident.
