A 52-year-old Aurora man was killed this afternoon when he was working underneath his truck in his driveway. It appears the vehicle slipped out of gear and pinned him underneath a front tire.
The accident happened at about 3:45 p.m. in the 800 block of North Kalispell Street. The man has not been named.
Family members found the man and tried to push the truck off him. Aurora police said.
A neighbor saw what was happening and used his truck to push the other truck off him.
The man was rushed to a local hospital but died from his injuries.
In media relase, Aurora police said “this does not appear to be anything criminal in nature at this time,” but the department will investigate, including an inspection of the truck’s parking gear.
