A Wyoming resident was killed this morning following a crash on southbound Interstate-25 in which the driver was thrown from a car during a rollover.
The age, name and gender of the victim has not been released.
The driver was in a Subaru going south on I-25 and was about 10 miles north of Wellington when the person tried to pass a Ford sedan, said Sgt. Mike Baker of the Colorado State Patrol.
The Subaru driver drifted into the median, then swerved back onto the highway, struck the Ford and rolled off the right side of the road, Baker said.
The driver of the Subaru was ejected as the car rolled several times, he said.
Linda Lyon, 64, who was driving the Ford, was not hurt as her car ended up in the median, Baker said.
