
A hangar in the Boulder Airport will be transformed into a vintage nightclub a la Rick’s Cafe Americain in ” on June 16 for the fourth annual . The event will include a costume contest, Bob Hope and Frank Sinatra impersonators, hula dancers, a swing dance lesson, and vintage military aircraft and vehicles. Entertainment includes big- band music from the Hot Tomatoes and other bands. The non-profit group running the ball was founded by Khyentse James in honor of her grandparents, who met and married in the 1940s. Proceeds from ticket sales will benefit the Wounded Warriors Project and the Spirit of Flight Center Colorado. James says close to 3,000 people are expected at the event, which runs from 6 p.m. to 1 a.m. at the (blue hangar), 3393 Airport Road.
