Career highlights: A native of Russia who moved to the U.S. with her family when she was three years old, Pirozhkova grew up in western Massachusetts and left home to train at the OTC in Colorado Springs five months after graduating from high school. She is a two-time World University champion and two-time Pan Am champion. She finished fifth at worlds in 2011 and seventh in 2009.
