Rocky Mountain National Park has lifted its fire ban.
Campfires are now allowed in campgrounds, selected back country campsites and at designated picnic areas, according to a news release from the park.
Fires must be in designated fire grates. Disposable or portable charcoal grills, wood fuel camp stoves and gas grills are allowed.
Fireworks are always prohibited within the park.
Officials continue to urge park visitors to use caution and be vigilant when using fire in designated areas.

The last time the park had a total fire ban in place was during the summer of 2002 and in September 2010.
