“Pulling for Colorado” community work day
Saturday:Several parks and open spaces are hosting “Pulling for Colorado” noxious-weed removal events in a statewide effort to educate Colorado about the impacts noxious weeds are having on our natural, agricultural and recreational lands. Saturday and Sunday: The “Grey Kitty Birthday Event” features approximately two dozen animal rescue and shelter groups offering adoptions, 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Dogs, cats, rabbits, ferrets and guinea pigs are some of the featured animals. Lakewood Arts Council’s Annual Garden Tour
July 21: A total of seven gardens in Arvada, Applewood, Wheat Ridge and Lakewood are featured in this year’s LAC benefit tour, 8:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. $18, $15 in advance.
