DURANGO, Colo.—More than 140 pre-evacuation notices remain in effect for residents living near a wildfire burning south of Durango.
Durango Interagency Fire Dispatch spokeswoman Pam Wilson said Monday said no structures are currently threatened after the fire grew to about 500 acres and headed toward Lake Nighthorse.
The fire is burning in pinon and juniper on Southern Ute Indian Reservation land.
Fire officials believe the fire may have ignited from a lightning strike Friday or Saturday.
