ENGLEWOOD, Colo.—A look at Peyton Manning’s day at Denver Broncos training camp:
PEYTON’S PLACE: The Broncos returned from a day off but you never could tell looking at Manning, who was as strong and sharp Monday as he’s been since his arrival in Denver.
HOW’D HE DO?: He hit on all of his passes and they had plenty of zing, too. After Demaryius Thomas short-armed a fade into the back of the end zone by the left pylon, Manning came right back and hit him with several impressive connections, including a slant from the right side in traffic for the score. Manning also worked on long throws into the end zone during individual drills and was throwing 50-yard passes with bulls eye accuracy.
TALKING MANNING: “Yeah, he’s the toughest I’ve faced.”—11-time Pro Bowl cornerback Champ Bailey on going up against No. 18.
