LOVELAND, Colo.—Allegiant Air executives have told local officials the airline plans to suspend its service to the Fort Collins-Loveland Municipal Airport by mid-October.

The Loveland Reporter-Herald reports () airport director Jason Licon, Loveland public works director Keith Reester and a Fort Collins city official were told of the airline’s plans in a conference call Monday with Allegiant executives.

The reasons weren’t clear.

The newspaper’s efforts to reach Allegiant officials late Monday for comment were not successful.
