Vassar Elementary School in Aurora was be closed on Thursday.
School officials closed the school because of a power outage that knocked-out the school’s phones, and air conditioning, according to a news release from Aurora Public Schools.
Temperatures are expected to be in the low 90s today.
The school will be open on Friday.
