Cooler temperatures are expected to move into the metro area, as cloudy skies on Friday give way to sunnier ones across the state on Saturday and Sunday.

Skies are expected to be mostly cloudy in Denver on Friday, with a 10 percent chance of isolated showers this afternoon, according to the National Weather Service.

Temperatures will dip to the low 50s Friday night before clear skies move in Saturday morning. Saturday’s high is expected to be around 78 degrees before dropping to about 53 degrees at night.

Similar conditions are expected on Sunday. High temperatures should peak to around 86 degrees.

Rain and showers are expected to linger in the mountains Friday afternoon. Those clouds should move out by Saturday, as temperatures in the low 60s to mid 70s move in.

Temperatures should be slight higher on Sunday, with overnight lows temperatures dipping into the low 40s.
