To honor its past and celebrate its future – as it begins its tenth year of post-secondary nursing education – Denver School of Nursing will celebrate its accreditations from the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC) and the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC).
The college is hosting an Open House on Wed., Oct. 24, from 4 to 7 p.m., and, at 5:30 p.m., healthcare and community leadership speakers will include: Kennetha Julien, program director for the Colorado State Board of Nursing Dr. Chris Urbina, executive director, chief medical officer, Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment Judy Montero, City Councilwoman for Denver Council District 9 “We want to share our success with our community because it is a direct result of the input and participation from our students, faculty, staff, community partners and clinical sites,” said Denver School of Nursing president Dr. Marcia Bankirer. “Accreditation by the NLNAC and ACCSC is tremendously impactful for all our constituents, represents the dedication of time and effort on the part of the college and reflects the high standards and quality education that DSN programs deliver.” Denver School of Nursing, 1401 19th St., Denver, is a private, post-secondary college that provides educational programs and training for nursing professionals.
