Boulder police said they arrested 36-year-old Eric John Raber on charges of attempted robbery Saturday afternoon at the Chase Bank branch at 1301 Canyon Blvd. in Boulder after he turned himself in to an officer.
Raber allegedly passed a note to the teller demanding money, but took the note and walked away when the teller walked away from the counter, police said. No money was stolen.
Police began searching for the suspect at the 12:43 p.m. robbery attempt. Raber approached an officer at 14th and Walnut streets who was questioning passers-by about the incident. Raber turned himself over to police at about 1:10 p.m. He was taken to the Boulder County Jail.
