BOULDER, Colo.—A woman whose daughter died of an apparent drug overdose has pleaded guilty to negligent child abuse resulting in serious bodily injury.
The Daily Camera reports ( ) Erin Maison-Everhart wiped away tears Thursday as she pleaded guilty to the reduced charge. She originally was charged with negligent child abuse resulting in death.
Adams County coroner’s officials say 2-year-old Annalise McKenna Maison-Chavez died in February with toxic levels of the painkiller Oxycodone in her body. Her mother had been taking multiple medications for chronic illnesses.
Maison-Everhart is scheduled to be sentenced Jan. 11.
