COLORADO SPRINGS — Police say they’ve arrested a man thought tied to three robberies that happened within an hour in southern Colorado Springs Saturday night.
Officers say an SUV spotted by a patrolling officer led them to 28 year-old Anthony Powell. The SUV, found parked in southern Colorado Springs, matched the description of a vehicle used in the hold ups of two hotels and a convenience store that were hit between 10:30 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. Saturday.
The officer checked out the SUV and spotted what he thought could be loot from the robberies inside. Police impounded the rig, which was later reported as stolen.
