The left lane of the flyover ramp from eastbound I-270 to eastbound I-70 is closed after a truck hit the bridge Friday morning.
Inspectors with the Colorado Department of Transportation found that the accident damaged a girder, which must be repaired. Bridge engineers will design a plan, and a contractor will be enlisted to make the repairs. No timetable has yet been determined.
While the left lane of the ramp is closed, eastbound motorists on I-270 might want to access eastbound I-70 via Quebec Street.
Motorists should expect major delays in the area, and alternate routes are advised.
