DENVER—Evacuations have been lifted after crews from Xcel Energy shut off a severed 20-inch natural gas line.
Spokeswoman Michelle Aguayo said the gas line in suburbs southwest of Denver was severed Thursday by a work crew not affiliated with the gas company.
Residents and businesses in the area were told to evacuate and portions of the C-470 highway were closed until the gas dissipated.
