Chatfield’s rise in the Denver Post boys basketball coaches poll has continued.
The Chargers (17-1), unranked just three weeks ago, are now the No. 4 team in Class 5A. Chatfield has won 15 games in a row, including games against Lakewood and Pomona last week.
Denver East retained the No. 1 spot for the ninth-consecutive poll. The Angels (17-2) were the preseason No. 1, and have stayed there since.
Unbeaten Mountain Vista (16-0) remained at No. 2, while ThunderRidge moved up to No. 3. Regis Jesuit round out the top five.
Rangeview moved up from eighth to sixth this week, and Grandview jumped from tenth to seventh following a win over then-No. 3 Eaglecrest. Eaglecrest fell to eighth following an 0-2 week.
Fairview (14-3) joined the 5A poll for the first time this season, at ninth. Monarch is tenth.
In 4A, Lewis-Palmer extended its stay at No. 1, while Sand Creek moved up to No. 3 following a big win over Valor Christian.
